Pro příznivce a znalce Kinks, tady je moje 2CD kompilace z let 1964 - 1974, obsahující přesně 50 songů. Musel jsem na ní udělat pár kompromisů, takže chybí možná několik dobrých kousků z alba Something Else by The Kinks, ale asi nejvíc mě mrzí, že jsem musel vyhodit skladbu "Last of the Steam-Powered Trains". Kdybych ji použil, pro její délku už by se tam nevešel padesátý song. A já mám rád zaokrouhlená čísla. Navíc jsem chtěl tu padesátku využít i v názvu kompilace. Ale i tak, z alba The Kinks Are the Village Green Preservation Society, ze kterého ta skladba pochází, jsem zařadil celých devět kousků. Což je opravdu hodně. Marná sláva, je to jejich nejlepší album (Arthur a Lola prominou).
