Přední kultovní britská skupina transformující syntezátorový rock na psychedelii šedesátých let. Sound Legendary Pink Dots je koláží hudby minulé s moderními tvůrčími postupy, které vycházejí z německého avantgardního rocku souborů Can, Faust a Amon Duul II.
Obsazení je velmi proměnlivé. Základní jádro tvoří zpěvák a klávesista Edward Ka-Spel a Phil Knight užívající pseudonym „The SilverMan“. Duo, které spojovala láska k německé psychedelii, se setkalo na počátku sedmdesátých let. Legendary Pink Dots vznikli v Londýně v roce 1980. V roce 1982 vydali první album.
