The international version of the album included the additional track "Falling Off" (written by Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Marti Frederiksen and sung by Joe Perry (it was released as a B-side to the "Hole in My Soul" single). The Japanese version included both "Falling Off" and another additional track, "Fall Together" (written by Steven Tyler, Mark Hudson, Greg Wells, Dean Grakal). Later pressings of the album also included "I Don't Want To Miss A Thing" (written by Diane Warren) from the Armageddon soundtrack. The original U.S. version, however, only had 13 tracks, as "Falling Off" was not included.
Also to note, the song "The Farm" contains dialogue from The Wizard of Oz parodied by Steven Tyler and the other band members.

Desku celkem z ostra otvírá skvělá píseň Nine Lives, podle mě dokonce nejlepší z celé desky. Následující Falling in Lone má něco do sebe, ale nějak více mě nezaujala, totéž mohu říct o Hole in My Soul, balada, která však nedosahuje až takových výšin jako třeba Crazy. Taste of India je velmi zajímavý materiál, řekl bych, že je jedním z tahounů desky. Připomenout musím pěknou skladbu The Farm a poněkud divnou Pink, kterou osobně považuju za horší stránku desky. Zkrátka, Nine Lives je dobrá deska, avšak v minulosti Aerosmith vydali mnoho lepších.

V podstate súhlasím. V čase vydania to bol po garážach celkom hit, nešlo mu utiecť, ale už vtedy som mal pocit, že je to jedným uchom dnu a druhým von... Nie, že by to bolo úplne zlé, ale načo to počúvať.

Dnes som si album opäť počúvol po dlhej dobe a spokojnosť preveľká. Plno krásnych melódií, pekne zaranžované, zahrané a zaspievané! Zapôsobilo to na mňa za štyri hviezdy!
